Margot Monti and George Turner began to play music together in 2007 in a Portland band called The Dead Beetles. Both are accomplished multi-instrumentalists: Turner on cello, guitar, piano, and bass, and Monti on a large variety of world wind instruments, from flute and clarinet to didgeridoo and fujara. When not playing improvised jams, they are currently involved in several collaborative projects, including Monti's recently-released EP "New Path", Turner's band My Fellow Traveller, and original arrangements and recording of Beck's "Song Reader." |
